Major General Abid Latif Khan, Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military) assumed charge of Director General Airports Security Force on 01 June 2021. Born in 1968, he was commissioned in 49 FF of Pakistan Army in March 1988. During his magnificent military career of 34 years, he has held various command, staff, instructional and operational appointments. He had the honour to command his parent unit 49 FF. His other staff appointments include, Brigade Major of an infantry Brigade, DS at the School of Infantry & Tactics, GSO-I and Colonel GS Strike Crops, Commander 7-AK Brigade, Sector Commander UN Mission (Ivory Coast) and Director Staff Duties GHQ. He was promoted to the rank of Major General in 2016. As a two star general, he has served with 41 Infantry Division Quetta as GOC, in MS Branch GHQ as Vice Military Secretary and Frontier Constabulary KP as Inspector General. Besides, he has also served as DG(C) in Directorate General ISI and as Deputy QMG in GHQ.
